i'm back

it seems like I may just be getting the hang of this thingie here. I've seen my momma use it once or twice before, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was surprised to find that putting various ends of it in my mouth repeatedly doesn't make it work, which is funny because that's how I've been able to make most things work so far. I'm sure I just haven't found the right part to stick in my mouth yet. But as soon as my mom leaves the room I try again.

there, this approach is working out pretty well for me.

I've been gone awhile, I know. You'd be surprised how busy my schedule can get. I was up at my grandparents last weekend so dad could continue making our bathroom look worse. for those interested in his progress, a picture from last weekend is down below. Anyway, then my dad was away for a couple of days, and before you know it another week has gone by. Oh, and guess what else snuck up on us, my nine month birthday. We didn't really do much; the men in my family prefer a more understated celebration.

this weekend was nice though, not only because my dad didn't work on any major projects, but because I did more than my average amount of charming the ladies. Mom had friends over, which is about as good as it gets for cute older women thinking I'm funny and charming. then I went down to this kind of fancy restaurant down the street where my Uncle Matty (not my real uncle Matt in Dixie, you know, dad's friend Smitty) was recovering from surgery to fix his broken face (that's true too). Anyway, he's always good for milking some good female attention out of these things, and this time was no exception. Ladies everywhere. sure there were guys too, but in my experience so far, it's just not the same. They were practically knocking each other over to get their hands on me.

that's about it for now. I'll try not to take so much time off this week.

Happy Easter

I didn't have a chance to wish everyone a Happy Easter, so we have a picture of my cute mom playing outside with me. It was very fun.

lotta lotta culture

As you can see here, I am enjoying some of the fine art and history and culture that the local museum has to offer. here I needed a break from all that culture to do some running down the hallway which turned out to be the best part of the museum.I really don't know what my folks were thinking bringing a baby my age to a museum. Within minutes I was experimenting with the way my voice echoed in the various rooms. It was great. (By the way, the title is a clever reference to a local ad that an airline has been running about Philadelphia; it's hilarious.) So, since my voice experiments weren't real popular with the other patrons, our stay was rather short. Anway, we had to get going as there was some baseball watching and napping still on the day's' schedule.

I have to also add that I'm quite pleased with the sox so far this season. The new additions are all working out as predicted and some even better. As importantly, the subtractions don't seem to be missed much, including one Mr. Damon (sorry mom) whose idiot act seems to be a little less charming now that he wears the pinstripes. I'd still like to see my man number 24 find his groove though.

I almost forgot the other big news. I have a new best friend. He lives in Virginia. He and his mom came up here to visit my mom and me. We had a lot of laughs. We talked quite a bit, mostly about baby stuff that you wouldn't understand. But I can tell you that we already have a lot in common, including the same exact shoes. I mean, what are the odds of that? So I can tell we're going to be best friends for a long time.

this is the place that the picture of my new best friend was supposed to go, but my dad can't seem to get it uploaded. I guess you're just going to have to wait a little longer for it.

Hi everybody,

For those of you who were hoping for an opening day picture with my Manny shirt on, sorry, mom washed it. Apologies also to Mr. Ramirez, it's in the dryer now and I hope to have it for the next series, maybe it'll help you out of your early 1 for 8 slump.

Why the big smiles you ask? Well I have lots of news. First, it seems as though all the drooling I have been doing has finally paid off. My first tooth has broken through. You can kind of see it here if you look real close.

Second piece of news is that you are looking at one of my brand new sets of 18 month PJ's. Normally this type of clothing related news wouldn't get me this worked up and excited, but it's what these 18 month PJ's imply. You see at this rate, I'm going to be bigger than my dad; make that much bigger. Yeah, I'm in clothes made for someone more than twice my age.

Time to wrap this up, the game is on now, sox are already down 1-0 and I don't have much time left before bed. this is Becket's big debut you know.

opening day

In preparation for april 3, aka opening day, I have donned my Red Sox jersey and will also wear it tomorrow in support of the 2006 season as I have been cleared by dad to wear the shirt again for the game. I only got a little squash on it today anyway. That's all for now; it's bedtime.

Oh, and here's some boring old rainbow pictures that my dad took yesterday.
