lots to say

For a guy with so few words in his vocabulary, zero to be specific, he certainly has a lot to say. He may look like his dad, but these early extrovert tendencies are most likely from his momma.

Thanksgiving was very nice, lots of family that we haven't seen in a very long time. I like to think this was a dry run for Christmas which will be more of the same, but with more back-to-back events. I'm sure we'll all do fine as long as everyone remembers who is the designated center of attention at least until the next baby arrives. As you can see, he'll let you know if you fail to keep this straight.

happy thanksgiving

we had a very nice weekend; the annual thanksgiving dinner with all my friends was on Saturday night. It was excellent as usual, though it gets more hectic as my friends' families grow. I didn't count, but Mark told me that there were 31 people there. Luckily all the kids are very well behaved; I can't imagine this event if they weren't. A huge thanks again to the pitkins for continuing to host this enormous meal. It's becoming one of the few events where we can all actually see each other. I would post some cute pics of the little guy being held and mothered by dozens of women and little girls, but don't really have permission to post any of those people here. you'll just have to trust me, they're cute.

last week it was the t.v., now it's the washing machine. he's in love again.

hi

Hi there, it's me again. Dad is a little busy right now. How's my hat look? Is this how the kids are wearing them these days, off to the side and a little crooked?

Not much news around here. Oh, except I got to see my first tow truck up close, which got showered with as many smiles as anyone has ever gotten. Daddy was less excited about it since his car left with it. That's what he gets for having a preference for German cars with six figures on the odometer.

what is it?

doesn't look like much does it?

not to you it doesn't. . . a lamp sitting on a piece of furniture with an ipod next to it. well for a week straight, this was little j's best friend. I know this because he would have extensive conversations with it, big smiles and all. his affair with this piece of furniture was short lived however, he is beginning a new, and likely longer one with the television set. he's already told Charlie Moore to do a lot more fishing and a little less talking. (that was a reference that people who don't have NESN probably won't understand)

big weekend

big stuff around here, first day in the walker & first halloween; not to mention the first 24 hour bug for the three of us. good times.

first time in the walker thing. loved it, in case you couldn't tell.

nana bought this for the kid. he didn't seem to mind wearing a costume, or rather didn't seem to know the difference. I told Ame that he probably loved being in it because it's basically a full body sleeping bag with a hood. She said I had some friends that would wear a full body sleeping bag with hood all the time if it were socially acceptable. She's probably right.
