Oh Holy Light
Here in a new twist on Christmas tradition, we have the usual nativity characters worshiping my lamp. No, don't you worry, I'm joking; that's actually the baby Jesus that I have in my hand. The lamp was just serving as focal point for correct positioning of everyone until the guest of honor could be put in position.
It's almost Christmas. You wouldn't know it by the lack of Christmas-ey decorations on my blog here. Someone misplaced the image files that he used last year to give this place a little Christmas cheer. For those of you from more liberal or PC circles, that would be "Holiday" cheer. Same thing, just without all that offensive "Christ" stuff.
I hope to be back again one time before Christmas Day, but you know by now how updates can be somewhat irregular around here, so if I don't check in again before next week - Merry Christmas!

hi
Hi everyone,
We're all very excited that the Christmas season is upon us. We're also very excited to be able to report that you all have stopped by to check in on me over 5,000 times since we started counting sometime last year.

What have I been up to lately? Well, for one my training to be a genuine renaissance man (athlete, scholar and artist) has been going pretty well so far. Today we're studying art. The other day we did a fair amount of "throw and catch". As far as the scholar part goes, I think I'm going to have to take "using the big potty" for that category, at least for the time being. I lept past most of the normal stages of training potties etc. and went straight to the grown up version. For what its worth, I got more clapping and cheering from the potty part than I did for the art and athletic accomplishments. Have to say that I'm often surprised by the types of things that get the big applause.
That's about it for now. Gotta get back to my art lesson before I start thinking about what we're gonna have for lunch. I'm thinking a little grilled cheese might be nice today (which happens to be right in my mom's repertoire).
