very advanced

I know many of you in my inner circle are routinely impressed with my above average skills, so this is for the benefit of those who may not be 'in the know' so to speak. I have multiple (roughly a dozen) educators on both sides of my family and some of them confirmed that I am very advanced for my age this very weekend past. I had the pleasure of showing off for some of the teachers on my father's side of the family (the crazy side, but that's a post for another day) and they couldn't believe how broad my signing dictionary has become among many things that I shouldn't mention for fear of sounding boastful.

While we're on the topic, guess who is also now kissing girls? your's truly. I planted one on my new female friend today, and I might add she seemed rather pleased.

watching the world go by

Well I'm on my way home from a nice little weekend away up at the grandparents' house. I got to play with some new trucks, and I even had the opportunity to point out several airplanes as they flew overhead all day long. I really couldn't get enough of them. The bonus here is that although I am very well trained to fall asleep within seconds of hitting the mattress, I am now completely unable to fall asleep in the car any longer. This trip is starting to get long for all of us around here. The parents are hoping I fall asleep next week in the car as we have entered our fall travel season and we have more long trips planned.

labor day

they tell me it's labor day. I don't know what that means, but what I gather is that it is a holiday with a sort of Yin-Yan quality, a day off offset by the fact that it means the end of summer.

We went to a pick-your-own orchard today, but it wasn't yet time to pick-anything-of-your-own, so I just played in this kinda awesome sandbox with all these trucks in it. It just so happens that graders (like the one seen here) are one of my favorite kinds of vehicles at the moment. Even though this one was missing a key part, the grader part, I loved it and had a mini-tantrum when my dad took me away from it.
