dressing up is the best...

So, Halloween. I don't love the scary, spooky parts of Halloween and what this day means to some folks. What I do love is the enjoyment going on here in terms of dressing up, playing pretend, and using our imagination; though I expect we may be continuing this long after this Saturday.

A little vacuuming from Batman...though not as fast as you might imagine

Hope you're enjoying your imaginative side this week.

October fun...

I do want to begin where I left off. Here is a pic of the bag that I sent to my swap partner. I had so much fun doing this..and attempting to get a little creative.

We have also had some fun explorations. I recently took the boys to one of our favorite places,"The Wildplace," also know as the Mass Audobon's Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. We always have a great time here and I always looking forward to seeing what Jake will bring along with him! I believe for this particular trip we had binoculars, construction gloves, and our very special fishing flashlight. Please enjoy all our pictures!

friendship bag swap

hi all - it's been a busy month. how does it fly by so quickly? i've been working on a good number of projects, so i should have a number of things to report on in the coming weeks. the first of which was a craft swap i participated in through the quilting gallery. it was my first swap, so I was a little nervous, but I did end up having fun with the project. i'm a sucker for bags and I think I may be catching the quilting bug, so it was a perfect combo. i'm super last minute, so, of course, my project was sent in the mail yesterday, the due date. but, I walked to my mail box today, and had a package!!! how fun!!!

my partner is from Arizona! she used vintage linens on the bag. so lovely and soft.

she also included a sweet bird that she made, a fat quarter and a photo keychain. (did she know my keychain broke this week?!?!?!)

all this to say, THANK YOU swap partner! i'll post what I made in a few days after I know my partner has received it. also, you can check out many of the other bags at the friendship bag flickr group. how fun...onto the next project.
