I started up my computer today for the first time since we moved, and lo and behold, I have a wireless signal, and I'm not paying for it. oh the joy of living in close quarters. I'm sure it's coming from the two single guys that live upstairs, so I'll probably offer to pay for half the bill and keep this thing going. I'm sure there'll be plenty of downside to living below two single guys, at least there was when I was a single guy.
No baby pics yet, too busy unpacking and figuring out where things are, including the little cable that connects my camera to my computer.
the move went okay. we were much more unprepared than we thought we would be, make that should have been when the crew arrived. one of the primary rules to having your friends give up part of a beautiful saturday to help you move is at least be ready when they arrive. we broke that rule. luckily for us, one of our friends immediately jumped on packing duty and kept us on track. I'm not sure yet if she knows how much she really saved the day. I hope I remember to thank her appropriately.
we're pretty much settled in. I have to admit, it feels very excellent to finally be in my own place, as humble as it may be.
and since I've done almost no fishing all year, I can NOT wait until thursday. one of the many relatives that I see every couple of years, my uncle is coming into town for a family reunion kind of thing and I'm taking him fishing all day thursday. should be good, especially since tuna have officially been bagged by close friends of mine. we'll see.
we're sure to have a few pics of the little guy when the weekend is over
