new moves

daddy is teaching me some of his mad boxing skills.

as you can see here, I'm jabbing with my left and covering with my right.

daddy is going fishing early tomorrow morning, so maybe he'll put some pictures up of something other than me, as if anyone would be interested in that anyway.

oh, and some of you may be wondering why my father is posting blog entries during the 9th inning of a humongously important baseball game. well, he's too cheap to get cable tv right now, so he's watching play-by-play on the computer. dork.

we're back

It's been a little while since the last post, but we still seem to be busy. We're feeling more and more settled into the new place every week; finally got the old mini refrigerator sold tonight, so we have a little more room in the kitchen. Finally did some fishing last weekend. went looking for tuna, it was quite rough on the water so after some whale sightings and a couple of smallish stripers we headed in.

On the baby front, it seems the boy is taking after his dad. He apparently has a girlfriend and she's a younger woman, exactly half his age ( . . .that girl is half his age . . . the police anyone?). This picture is from their first meeting and they're clearly quite fond of each other already.

cool kid

just a picture of the baby today, because if we're really honest about things, that's what most of you are here for anyway.

also, pictures of the family weekend in woodstock, vt are up in a gallery that you can access in the right margin

hi

hi there. it's me. mom and dad have been too busy lately to make any contributions to this thing, plus I hear there have been complaints that dad is putting too many pics up that make me look silly. so I'm writing this one.

I just wanted to show everyone out there how big I'm getting now that I'm getting on in weeks, 7 weeks tomorrow. Oh, and we saw some family this past weekend, and that was real fun since I'm told I probably won't see some of these relatives for a year or more.

one last thing, mom and dad seem to be pretty darned excited about all the smiling I'm doing lately. big deal, if I'd known it would get this kind of reaction I would've done it, like, last week.

shhhh

I started up my computer today for the first time since we moved, and lo and behold, I have a wireless signal, and I'm not paying for it. oh the joy of living in close quarters. I'm sure it's coming from the two single guys that live upstairs, so I'll probably offer to pay for half the bill and keep this thing going. I'm sure there'll be plenty of downside to living below two single guys, at least there was when I was a single guy.

No baby pics yet, too busy unpacking and figuring out where things are, including the little cable that connects my camera to my computer.

the move went okay. we were much more unprepared than we thought we would be, make that should have been when the crew arrived. one of the primary rules to having your friends give up part of a beautiful saturday to help you move is at least be ready when they arrive. we broke that rule. luckily for us, one of our friends immediately jumped on packing duty and kept us on track. I'm not sure yet if she knows how much she really saved the day. I hope I remember to thank her appropriately.

we're pretty much settled in. I have to admit, it feels very excellent to finally be in my own place, as humble as it may be.

and since I've done almost no fishing all year, I can NOT wait until thursday. one of the many relatives that I see every couple of years, my uncle is coming into town for a family reunion kind of thing and I'm taking him fishing all day thursday. should be good, especially since tuna have officially been bagged by close friends of mine. we'll see.

we're sure to have a few pics of the little guy when the weekend is over

gone for awhile

we are moving tomorrow morning and aren't quite sure when we'll be back up online; so this may be our last post for a little while.
