a good day

you could say it was a good day
got up at 5:30; fished from 6:30 to 10 this morning. caught tons of blues, then went to a the sox-yankees game. weather was perfect. sox lost, but Johnny Damon (Amy's, um, favorite player) extended his hitting streak to 28 games. there are no photos of batters from the game because we had obstructed view seats. the obstruction was a big window that we could see through, but the camera wasn't crazy about it.
a big thank you to hods for allowing me to use his other sox ticket.
oh, in case you're wondering who the guy is in the last photo (red shirt, green visor), I don't know. But he was such a the perfect fan that I had to have his picture: drunk, loud, green sox visor, sox towel draped around his shoulders (missing from photo unfortunately), screaming to the players AND to his friends who also had single tickets and were scattered around our section. last but not least, he was just big, loud and drunk enough that most people were afraid of him, including the poor family next to him, they were polite, it not more than a little scared. Hods felt like this guy should be a Simpsons character...in that "fulfilling all the stereotypes" kind of way. I should mention that all in all, he and his friends were actually quite harmless. no one got hurt or kicked out. they were just a little highstrung.
